Welcome to the Home Page of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Northern Nevada.  Based in Sparks Nevada our Council has been serving the interests of Northern Nevada's construction workers since 1928.

First Chartered June 5, 1928 as the Reno Nevada Building Trades Council by the Building Trades Department of the American Federation of Labor our Council has continuously served our Affiliated Unions and their membership with the goal of furthering the opportunities for our signatory contractors to perform work within our jurisdiction in a efficient and economical manner.

To reach this goal our council is active in assuring that all contractors follow the existing laws of the State of Nevada while they are working within our jurisdiction. The Council also believes this goal can be met through lobbying at the State and National level to assure that Nevada's construction workers perform the work on construction projects which have public funding and incentives in Nevada.  With our Affiliates we engage in such political activity as is necessary to assure our elected officials hold values which will support the working men and women of this State.

The jurisdiction of our Council includes the northern counties of the State of Nevada, Carson City, Churchill, Douglas, Elko, Eureka, Humbolt, Lander, Lyon, Mineral, Nye (that portion of Nye County covered by the Project Agreement between Holmes Narver and the Council in the Warm Springs Area, the boundaries of which are reflected in the Department's records - portions of Nye County north of US Hwy 6), Pershing, Storey, Washoe and White Pine.

The Executive Secretary Treasurer of our Council is Paul McKenzie and he can be reached at (775) 355 -9200 or by email at pmckenzie@bctnn.org.
