Political Activism
Though the majority of our members and affiliates live and work in the greater Reno-Sparks area, the Council's jurisdiction spans Northern Nevada, from Incline Village to Elko. We lobby on behalf of our members—working men and women—across the state, and at all levels of government. Our political values are simple: to achieve and sustain the betterment and protection of our members. We work closely with elected officials to find solutions to complex labor issues, and to ensure that those who benefit from Nevada's growth include those who build it.

LABOR 2018 ELECTION CAMPAIGN
Many of the biggest issues facing Americans this year are issues close to working families, like health insurance, sexual harassment protections, and fair working conditions. Electing candidates who understand and support labor is key to the future of Nevada's unions. Watch this space for campaign updates and calls for action now through November.
GET INVOLVED
The Council is committed to lobbying on behalf of the some 6,000 union members in our jurisdiction, but we can't do it alone. Support from union members and the public is critical to making sure important labor issues reach policy decision-makers at every level of government. >>

National
In this political era, it's easy to think that voicing your opinion to the office of the President of the United States will fall on deaf ears. Let's not give up. Our highest offices need to hear from labor, and to know that we are legion.
